How Print & Sign
Works

You send the document through Foxit eSign as usual. The signer opens the envelope, selects Print & Sign, downloads the document, signs it by hand, and uploads the signed PDF back into the same envelope.

1
Enable Print & Sign

An admin unlocks the feature for the organization, and the sender allows signers to use it.

2
Send the document

The sender prepares and sends the document through the standard Foxit eSign workflow.

3
Open the envelope

The signer opens the signing email and selects Review Document.

4
Choose Print & Sign

From More Actions, the signer selects Print & Sign.

5
Download the document

Foxit eSign generates a downloadable version with pre-filled signer details and date fields where available.

6
Print and sign by hand

The signer prints the document, signs it on paper, and scans the completed copy.

7
Upload the signed PDF

The signer uploads the signed PDF back into the same envelope. PDF only, up to 25 MB.

8
Submit and complete

After submission, the envelope continues processing and the upload is captured in the timeline, audit trail, and certificate.
