Security

  • Protected View

To protect your computer from files originating from the Internet or other potentially unsafe locations, turn on Protected View to open these files to reduce risks. In Protected View, files are read only and most editing actions are not allowed.

  • Privileged Locations

Some professional documents contain complex elements like interactive form fields, multimedia content, attachments, and layering. These elements may leave PDFs vulnerable to malicious actions and threaten data security. Foxit PDF Editor enables users to specify privileged locations to selectively trust files, folders and hosts in order to bypass security restrictions.

More information about security settings, please refer to Trust settings.
