AI Credit Usage Policy

Foxit AI Assistant, available within Foxit Editor subscriptions and Foxit Reader, and Foxit Workspace utilize a credit-based system for interactions with AI-powered tools. Credits are deducted based on usage, including submitting text prompts, selecting suggested prompts, or using AI-powered features within the defined limits. Credit consumption is based on the complexity of the task, the user prompt, and the document size, so a single task will not always consume the same number of credits.

Credit Allocation

Foxit AI Assistant in our subscription Editor and Reader products, along with Foxit Workspace, share a common credit pool. Credit allocation is as follows:

  • Free Credits: 300 free credits per month.
  • Paid Credits: 2,000 credits per month.
  • AI Extra Credit Pack: 1,000 additional credits available for purchase. Available only to users with an active AI subscription. Extra Credit Pack credits do not reset monthly and roll over month to month, and do not expire unless the user cancels their AI subscription.

Credit Usage by Feature

Credit consumption is tied to the actual cost of each task rather than a fixed amount per action. Since not every feature costs the same number of credits, usage will vary by feature, by prompt, and by document size. Users can review their detailed credit usage at any time under Settings > Usage.

File Limitations

  • Foxit AI Assistant
    • Supports upload of PDF, PNG, and JPG files.
    • PDFs have no MB file size limit; up to 2,000 pages can be processed.
    • Images are limited to 20 MB and must be PNG or JPG.
  • Foxit Workspace
    • Up to 100 files per project.
    • Each file can be up to 100 MB or 2,000 pages.
    • Supported formats: PDF, Word, Excel, PPT, URL, TXT, MD, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and SVG.

Additional Notes

  • Foxit AI is currently an add-on available for use within Foxit Editor subscriptions, Foxit Reader, and Foxit Workspace.
  • Subscription credits (free and paid) reset monthly based on the subscription cycle. Extra Credit Pack credits do not reset and roll over month to month.
  • Credit pooling is available for enterprise customers via the Admin Console.
  • If all credits are depleted, AI-powered features within the AI Assistant tab or within Foxit Workspace will be unavailable until the next reset, unless the user has Extra Credit Pack credits available.
  • Credit usage policies are subject to change based on feature updates and enhancements.
