Create an Artifact

Foxit Workspace supports a variety of commonly used artifact types, enabling you to create polished and reusable outputs from requests, source materials, or ideas. Rather than starting with a blank file, you can select the artifact type that best aligns with your objective.

  • Document: Create structured written content, such as a report, proposal, or other text-based deliverables. 

  • Presentation: Create a slide-based presentation for a meeting, training, or other visual narrative.

  • Image: Create an image or graphic that illustrates an idea, concept, subject, etc. 

  • Mind Map: Organize ideas, requirements, decisions, research, or tasks as connected and editable nodes in a hierarchy.

  • Diagram: Create a structured visual, such as a flowchart, process map, relationship map, or technical diagram.

  • Webpage: Create an HTML-based webpage for presenting information in a browsable layout.

To create a specific type of artifact when assigning a task, please follow the steps below:

  1. In the AI chat box, click to choose the artifact type. 

  2. Specify the following options based on the type of artifact you have selected: 

  • (Available for Presentations) Generation mode: Click to choose a generation mode for presentations. Select Standard to create a fast, versatile, and fully editable presentation. Select Image to create a more visual, high-impact presentation. 

  • Template: Choose a template from the library. Foxit Workspace provides preset templates for presentations, mind maps, diagrams, and webpages. 

    • When the AI Chat panel is in the standard mode, the template library expands automatically. 

    • When you start a new chat in the maximized mode, you need to click to expand the template library. In the template library, hover your mouse over a template, choose Preview to view it, and choose Apply to confirm your selection. You can also click Pin to pin a template, which will appear in the Pinned tab in the template library for quick access later. 

  • (Available for Images) Image Model: Choose an AI model to generate images. 

  • (Available for Images) Image Size: Specify the size for the output image. 

  • (Available for Images) Image Quality: Choose the resolution (High, Medium, Low) for the generated images. Select the quality level that balances image fidelity and performance based on your specific requirements.

Tip: To switch to a different artifact type after making a selection in the chat box, first click the currently selected type to clear it, and then choose a new type from the list.

  1. After completing the artifact type settings, send your request, and Foxit Workspace will start analyzing and composing the output.
