Panasonic Partners with Foxit Software for PDF Compression

Foxit Software Technology to be Bundled with Panasonic Scanners and renamed PremierCOMPRESSION

FREMONT, Calif. – (January 16, 2018)— Foxit Software, a leading software provider of fast, affordable, and secure PDF solutions, today announced Panasonic’s Document Management and Imaging division has selected Foxit’s PDF Compressor technology to be incorporated in all scanner models, from desktop to production level, being shipped in the United States. Panasonic Document Management and Imaging is the scanner division of the $65 billion Panasonic Corporation,a worldwide leader in the development of diverse electronic technologies and solutions for customers in the consumer electronics, housing, automotive, and B2B businesses.

Foxit PDF Compressor technology, acquired through Foxit’s acquisition of CVISION, was selected by Panasonic to efficiently capture PDF documents and optimize them through fast, accurate optical character recognition (OCR) processes powered by its patented technology. Panasonic scanners will now be able to utilize advanced file compression technology to streamline PDF file size for more rapid file transmission and cost-efficient document storage.
